“Izzy” aka Isabella Castaspella is the story of a young witch living in a small town who is trying to find her place in the world. She puts all her focus on her magic to keep her town safe from the evil Lavinia LaMeanie. She is neurodivergent making it hard for her to socialize with her friends and new people. She is not like anyone else she knows, and finds it hard to change. Izzy's journey makes her realize she can't protect the town on her own, and that magic alone is not enough to defeat her enemy. She needs her friends, who guide her and inspire her. Izzy is learning and growing and becoming a better witch with every step she takes, very much like her counterparts in the real world. Young girls and tweens.
Izzy Casts A Spell introduces a diverse cast of characters from different racial, gender, and cultural backgrounds including a character with a disability. A strong female lead with strong characters help make Izzy and her friends a great role model for all young people. The characters are meant to be relatable to families for a universal international audience.
Izzy Casts A Spell is being developed by Luminetik Studios for a family television series for young and old. Screenplay adaption by Akiko Ashley.
